New WhatsApp Features: Update your WhatsApp
WhatsApp is the go-to instant messaging app for most people. Probably because it is regularly updated to satisfy users more. WhatsApp keeps improving, and each new WhatsApp update makes us (users) love the app more.
WhatsApp’s New Features
WhatsApp communities
This is a new feature that allows similar groups to be classified under a bigger group (the community). So let’s say you’re the admin of about 5 groups. You could put those groups into a community, become a community admin, and be able to control all groups within the community better. Also, you can send a message to address all 5 groups at once instead of having to send the same message multiple times. As usual, discussions will take place in the various groups.
Increased number of participants in a group
Previously, only 512 people could be members of a WhatsApp group, but now there can be as many as 1024 members in a group. This provides a larger opportunity to network.
In-chat polls in the group
Just like Telegram, where you can have a poll, WhatsApp now has a poll feature. If you want to vote for something in a group instead of counting the number of emoji reactions under the messages, you can use the new poll feature.
Larger file sharing
In the recent Whatsapp update, you can share large files, as large as 2 GB.
More participants in the calls
You can now have about 32 participants in a video call. Also, you can create a link for the call and send the link prior to the call. This way, participants just need to tap the link to join the call.
Leave the group chat quietly.
These features are very recent and may not have been circulated to every user. So if you don’t see the updates, keep checking the Play Store and update it once the new version is available on your phone.
